Land of Calm Abiding’s mission is to help others through offering a retreat environment virtually unmatched in the west. In doing so it allows individuals to study, meditate and realize the teachings which the Buddha passed downed nearly 2,700 years ago. The Center is a independent, non-profit organization and as such, relies entirely on donations and membership support for our existence.

Our monthly operating expenses range between $3,000-3,500 for items such as road maintenance, insurance, utilities, retreatant support and administrative expenses.

Sustaining memberships, or monthly giving, provide Land of Calm Abiding with regular and dependable income, allowing us to budget and plan more effectively to be of greatest benefit.

Land of Calm Abiding is a tax-exempt not-for-profit corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All of your contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Also, please check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program so that your contribution can be matched.

Members will have 4 pujas sponsored in their name at Kopan Monastery in Nepal. We will inform members when each of these pujas takes place.
